Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women
The Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women (OCCSW) was established by the Board of County Commissioners in 1995. Its purpose is to eliminate barriers to achievement for women through research, education and communication, recognize and honor women who have made significant contributions toward improving the status of women and other citizens of Okaloosa County.
OCCSW meetings are open to the public and most months on the fourth Monday and are open to the public. Click here for this year’s meeting schedule.

2025 Women of Honor Nominations Now Open
Nominations accepted through April 20, 2025.

Each year, OCSW awards a $500 Service to Okaloosa County Women Grant to an organization or business that helps or benefits women of Okaloosa County.
Nominations are open each year from November 1 to December 1.
Grant applications are currently closed.
